Overdose

Amitriptyline overdose is serious and potentially fatal. Symptoms may include severe drowsiness, agitation, confusion, hallucinations, dilated pupils, fever, irregular heartbeat, seizures, respiratory depression, coma, and cardiac arrest. Suspected overdose constitutes a medical emergency; seek immediate medical attention or contact a poison control center. Treatment is supportive and may include gastric lavage, activated charcoal, ECG monitoring, and management of arrhythmias, seizures, and hypotension. There is no specific antidote.

Storage

Store Endep tablets at room temperature (15–30°C or 59–86°F), in a tightly closed container, and protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Do not use beyond the expiration date printed on the packaging. Properly discard any unused or expired medication via a drug take-back program or according to local guidelines; do not flush down the toilet or pour into a drain.
